The wood-fired oven at Tandır

In Turkish, a tandır is the traditional clay oven where meat has been slow cooked over wood fire for centuries. It is where our name, and everything we cook, begins.

Years of craft, in every dish.

Our chefs prepare every dough by hand, resting it with traditional methods before it meets the wood fire. Bringing the oven to exactly the right temperature takes years of knowledge, passed down and perfected over time. It is this craft that shapes our homemade mezes, dolma, sarma, fresh fish and clay pot dishes, and especially our long pide, stretched and baked the traditional way.

A generous breakfast shared at Tandır

A tradition of hospitality, one cup of tea at a time.

Each morning, our serpme breakfast brings together some of the finest examples of Turkish hospitality: a generous spread of quality ingredients, prepared by our breakfast chef and served alongside freshly brewed tea. It is breakfast the way it is meant to be, slow, generous and shared.

A table for the neighbourhood, and beyond.

We are proud to be part of the local community here in North London, and just as glad to welcome guests who travel from across London and further afield. However far you have come, we sit at the same table, and we always make time to talk, to listen, and to share the moment with you.
